Horses in Winter

The morning dawned cold but sunny and I decided to play hooky from work and go riding instead. The woods were absolutely beautiful with a fresh cover of white snow. Many birds were out and there were plenty of deer tracks too. I am posting some pictures that I took today. Oliver enjoyed getting out too...poor horse has been stuck in his stall because its been too cold and icy to ride much.

I did make it to the gym this evening and put in some time on the treadmill and bike. Although I was exercising for almost an hour, I think I only put in a total of six miles combined. Its still a long way to go until triathlon-readiness but I will keep working at it! It felt great to have such an active day.
